Canned Corn with Apples and Toasts

Ingredients:

1 can corn
1 onion
2 tbsp tomato paste
2 apples
1 tsp sugar
10-12 white bread toasts
2 tbsp butter

Drain corn in a strainer and add to a skillet together with diced and lightly browned onion, tomato paste, salt, and sugar. Mix well and saute for 5 minutes. Wash, core, and slice apples, and bake them in the oven. Make toasts with white bread.

To serve — pile corn in a middle of a serving plate. Surround corn with slices of apples alternating them with toasts. Decorate with sprigs of parsley.

Canned Corn in Tomato Sauce

Ingredients:

1 can corn
1 onion
2 tbsp tomato paste
1 tsp sugar
2 tbsp butter

Drain corn in a strainer, then add to a skillet together with diced and lightly browned onions, tomato paste, salt, and sugar. Mix everything well and saute for 5 minutes.

Just before serving pile corn on a plate and sprinkle with finely chopped scallions, parsley leaves, or dill.
