Crouton Casserole with Carrots


2 tbsp croutons
1/2 carrot
1/4 cup water
1/2 egg
1/2 tsp sugar
1/2 tsp butter

Peel carrot and braise it lightly in water. Chop it, add butter and use as stuffing for casserole. Pour over croutons with hot water, add egg and butter. Mix this crouton paste well, put half of it an a greased skillet, add carrot stuffing, cover with the rest of crouton paste and bake in oven.
