Milk Soup with Oats


1 l/1 qt milk
1 cup oats
1 tsp sugar
1 tbsp butter

Add oats (ed. note – Quick cooking oats are probably more appropriate for this recipe since steel-cut oats take longer to cook.) to a pot with boiling milk, season with salt and sugar, and cook 20-25 minutes.
Put butter into the soup just before serving.
